What is Boudoir Photography,
or Boudoir Portraits?? Boudoir is French
for 'the bedroom', but Boudoir photography
is Not photography of bedroom interiors... Sometimes Boudoir
Portrait Photography is done in a bedroom, but that
is definately not a criteria. And while lingerie is usually involved,
Boudoir Portraiture is different from Lingerie
or Swimsuit Fashion photography. Sometimes the difference can
be subtle, but the focus of Boudoir Portraits
is the person. The elegant, sensual person inside,
(or out of), the lingerie. (But you knew all that allready, didn't
you..)
In Boudoir Photography we use
very soft, flattering lighting, sensual, feminine poses, and selective
camera angles to emphasize your sensual beauty, and create the most
alluring Boudoir Portraits. Truth be told, Glamor
and Boudoir was what first, and most strongly drew me to photography.
And to this day I have a special love for celebrating the art of the
female form with photography.Typically, a lady will have 'special
portraits' made for her lover as an intimate gift. Often young women
want to have artful Boudoir portraits made as
future "proof of how good I looked when I was__(insert age)!"
